I had Suzie out in April to give me a quote for solar panels after the company did a presentation in my work place. I had been interested for some time but during the presentation it sounded as if it had become more affordable than when I first started looking. Suzie designed a system for us after doing a survey and looking over our electric bill for the year. I opted for 16 panels, inverter, 5kw battery and the Eddi hot water controller. The system was installed at the start of June. The installers were very professional, no wires visible and the system is hidden away. Within just a couple of hours the system was fully functional. I notice that there have been a few miserable days where it didn’t quite cover our electricity usage but most days it covers all of our needs and we also export plenty back to power Ni. Very happy with the system and start solar so far.
Recently installed 22 panels with start solar on a ground mount with an 8kW battery and a zappi car charger. Although we got of to a bad start, some delays initially, due to storms, materials, poor communication back and forth I eventually got through to Ben who quickly sorted the issues and I couldn’t be happier with the system. Deposit paid in December and system installed in March. Because off all the issues I had with the company I got a very healthy discount and a 200 euro donation to a charity of my choosing in Mayo. Guys came and done the work all in one day. All the lads on the ground were sound to deal with, very helpful and I would recommend them to anyone. I’ve been generating high levels and selling back to the grid since March.

I had so many questions. I’ve learned loads throughout the process and always felt no question was too silly to not be answered. On the installation day everything went so well. The crew were efficient and friendly. I felt I received a very personal service and would highly recommend the team. Decided to investigate solar power . Looked at a few providers but settled on Start Solar. They set very clear expectations on what to expect from solar energy and were very competitive if not the best quote. Great communication throughout the process and installation was within 2 weeks of order. I’m not underestimating the work involved on the installation day but it felt simple and hassle free. No mess no upheaval no fuss.
